I think this should be the official overture for Newsies. Don’t get me wrong, the original overture is great- but it’s a minute long. I miss the days when musicals had legit 5 minutes of pure music before curtain. It gave the orchestra a chance to show off and get the audience ready for an evening at the theatre.
